Young Artists

Zartbitter Bittersüß

What stories are hidden in a piece of chocolate or a T-shirt? What is the reality for the children who make our favorite things, and how can we as young people take responsibility for our world?

The children and young people of the young artists from steptext combine dance and parkour in a gripping dance theater production that shows how children’s rights and the rights of Mother Earth are inseparably linked. Inspired by the pioneering constitutions of Bolivia and Ecuador, which grant nature its own rights, the young artists have been engaging for several years not only with human rights but also with the rights of the Earth. In 2025, their focus is on cocoa and cotton production, and the child labor connected to it.

Choreography: Marion Amschwand and Augusto Jaramillo Pineda | Parkour training: Joshua Buchholz, Finn Fasse | Costumes: Emilia Sting
