After a powerful storm sweeps them away, young Dorothy and her beloved dog Toto find themselves in the Land of Oz. But this magical world turns out to be far less enchanting than they had imagined. The Wizard of Oz wants to protect its inhabitants from fear, negative emotions and troubling thoughts. However, his attempts to create a world free of negativity unintentionally put everyone in danger.

Together with her newfound friends, Dorothy embarks on an extraordinary journey filled with challenges, unexpected twists and moments of self-discovery. Along the way, they encounter disappointments and moments of doubt, nearly losing faith in themselves. Yet, through their adventures, each character discovers the importance of embracing their own strengths and recognising who they were, who they are, and who they wish to become.

For its interpretation of The Wizard of Oz, Theater 11 Bremen brings together a variety of theatrical styles and genres, including shadow theatre and dance theatre. The production brings children, adults and professional performers from the Studio11Bremen / Theater 11 groups together on stage.

With colourful costumes, music, dance and an abundance of joy, this production brings to life a magical fairytale world filled with kindness, warmth and wonder.
