Médoune Seck was born in Senegal in 1983 and graduated in physics, chemistry, and computer science/network management from the Université de Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar. At the same time he also trained traditional Senegalese dance in the Fire Fly company.


In 2013, he met Helge Letonja and his choreographic work at École des Sables, a Pan-African contemporary dance center in Senegal. Since then he assisted Helge Letonja in the working phases of the intercontinental productions there and took over videographic works.


In 2015 he then moved to Bremen to support the artistic production management at steptext dance project e.V. (steptext) and to dance in the ensemble. For Helge Letonja's BOXOM he was on stage for the first time in Europe and then participated in 2016 in the new version of THE DESERT, as well as in ZWEI GIRAFFEN TANZEN TANGO - Bremer Schritte. For ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS and MOMENTUM ZERO, Médoune Seck created the video design.

In 2018 he realized the documentary "BREFIKA" for the festival Africtions - captured by dance. Since the creation of the new dance company Of Curious Nature in 2019, Médoune Seck is responsible for the video and digital. This includes, among others, all documentaries, video trailers, dance film portraits and livestreaming. Since 2021, Médoune Seck is part of the development team of the virtual reality project DIGITAL MOTIONS, realized in collaboration with CyberRäubern.
