Afro-Somatic Dace workshop with Kossi S. Aholou-Wokawui

Kossi Sebastien Aholou-Wokawui, former dancer with OCN and choreographer from Togo, works with elements such as rhythm, connection to the ground, breathing, and the mobility of the spine.

He combines traditional West African dances with Caribbean dance (Haiti/Cuba) and Western contemporary dance.

His fusion is a constant dialogue with the cosmos and nature, giving you the feeling of a free body and an open mind. You will immerse yourself in fluidity and energy, as well as in the rhythm of grounded movement and elevation — the most important fundamental elements of traditional African dance.
