Share Your Dance

Modern Dance for All Generations. Community Event

We’re bringing everyone together — whether you secretly dance along to TikTok videos at home or are part of a dance group, whether you’re a headbanger on the edge of the dance floor or simply can’t stay seated when your favourite song comes on.

Bring along your favourite move or dance step — TikTok, Sirtaki, foot tapping, Afro vibes, waltz, flamenco, freestyle or the Ketchup Song — Share your Dance!

You’ll be randomly paired with another guest*, of any age or background, and teach each other the dance steps you’ve brought along. Then you’ll mix them together into a short sequence — whether it turns into Balkan Ballet, Duck Dance Boogie or Breaking Tango. Nobody is perfect, and laughter is encouraged! Our Dance Facilitators* will be there to support you whenever needed.

Then it’s on to your next dance date. Nobody takes centre stage — everyone grooves together at the same time. Together, we’ll bring some energy and movement to the grey days of November!

To wrap things up, we’ll celebrate our little community with a community dance created in Cape Verde by our young artists, the youth dance theatre group of steptext.

Why? Because we don’t want to keep dancing in separate bubbles — from children’s dance to 30+ parties to senior dance groups. Let’s have fun together! Bring your grandparents, children, parents and friends.

To make sure the groups still get mixed up, please register with a maximum of 4 people you already know.

The music will have a good beat so that (almost) anything can fit — and whatever doesn’t fit, we’ll make it fit!
